What is DGCA Class 2 Medical?

DGCA Class 2 Medical is a mandatory physical and mental fitness examination required for individuals seeking to pursue pilot training in India. It is conducted by DGCA-approved doctors who evaluate your basic health and medical history to determine your eligibility for aviation training.

You must clear Class 2 Medical before enrolling in any DGCA-recognized ground school or flying school.

When Should You Do It?

As early as possible. Most students complete their DGCA Class 2 Medical during or just after 12th standard. The process can take 1–2 days, including follow-ups and file number generation.
